about

'Chitty...' is a propulsive upbeat brass laden indie pop track that builds to a crescendo of question and answer vocals, it's main lyrical themes being isolation, lack of communication, escapism and 'Carpe Diem frustration'... sound familiar???
How's about inventing a flying car to take us away somewhere hot and sunny from the humdrum... #ChittyChittyBangBang

A musical doff of the cap here and there in equal measures goes to The Lovin' Spoonful, XTC and Madness respectively.

As one reviewer recently stated '..."That Chitty Bang Majik” made me smile a lot. If there was going to be a “hit” single, this would be it!'

lyrics

Hello brightness my old friend
Come and confide in me again
I know that it is sub-li-minal
So things can be far less complicated
Time is like a metaphor
For all the days that have gone by
I know that I am no great healer
No soothsayer just a faker

I'm leaving this burnt town
Tomorrow night on a runaway train
I need to seize this time
Sorry for lack of communication
My heart and head in the sand
With carpe diem frustration

I keep on looking (I keep on looking)
They tell me it's not too far (…it's not too far)
I keep on asking (I keep on asking)
Praying for the flying car…

Hello blue line my old friend
I've come to reason life again
If you are buying we are selling
No time to stray I've got rent to pay kid
Time is washed away again
For every hour of yesterday
The magic isn't too far away
No time to save I've got bills to pay kid

I'm leaving this burnt town
Tomorrow night on a runaway train
I need to seize this time
Sorry for lack of communication
My heart and head in the sand
With carpe diem frustration

I keep on looking (I keep on looking)
They tell me it's not too far (…it's not too far)
I keep on asking (I keep on asking)
Praying for the flying car…
I keep on looking (I keep on looking)
They tell me it's not too far (…it's not too far)
I keep on asking (I keep on asking)
Praying for the flying car….

I'm leaving this burnt town
Tomorrow night on a runaway train
I need to seize this time
Sorry for lack of communication
My heart and head in the sand
With carpe diem frustration
I'm need to burnt this down
Sorry for lack of communication…
